This certification covers basic skills in Ex / Exi installation and inspection in potentially explosive areas.

The course emphasizes the use of components in the theoretical part, and practical training in installation and inspection, with exercises in the workshop.

After the theoretical part and the practical training, the course concludes with a validation of the skills and knowledge. After passing both the theory exam and practical assessments, a CompEx certificate is issued.

Participants are assessed on theoretical and practical work within:

Ex 01, the candidates must show in practice that they have the ability to execute an Ex installation, choose the right Ex equipment for the task and show general understanding of basic Ex installation. Installation is carried out according to IEC 60079-14.
Ex 02, the candidates must demonstrate that they have the competence to carry out a practical inspection of Ex equipment. The inspection will be carried out in accordance with IEC 60079-17.
Ex 03, the candidates must show in practice that they have competence to execute an Exi installation, choose the right Ex equipment for the task and show general understanding of basic Exi installation. Installation is carried out according to IEC 60079-14.
Ex 04, the candidates must show that they have the competence to conduct a practical inspection of an Exi installation. The inspection will be carried out in accordance with IEC 60079-17.
